In order to meet the increasing demand for blends in the pig farming sector, Looop has joined forces with its partner Hazenberg. At Hazenberg's blending facility, organic co-product based mixtures are produced. The blends allow Looop to add more value to organic co-products, which in turn drives the transition to a more circular world.
Validation of co-products
Dick Kroot, Managing Director at Looop: "We are constantly looking for new ways to better serve our customers. The collaboration with Hazenberg is a good example of this. The opportunity to now offer blends at the farm is in line with the wishes of our customers and with a more sustainable way of conducting business. We are looking forward to working with Hazenberg and are already very impressed with the new possibilities.”
Paul and Johan Hazenberg, owners of the Hazenberg blending location: "We have decided to say goodbye to pig farming and now focus on the trading, blending and transporting of by-products. Since we made this choice, we started looking for a reliable cooperation partner. In Looop, we found what we were looking for. The collaboration with Looop allows our company to further specialize and therefore serve our customers even better. We are very excited about the collaboration and, together with Looop, we will ensure a constant flow of by-products to your farm. The demand for blends is growing and this partnership shows that we are on the right track to continuing our growth.”
The collaboration fits Looop’s ambitions. By offering blends at the farm, new opportunities for the agricultural entrepreneur are created to feed with by-products, which contribute to more circular business operations. The blending location is centrally located (Moergestel, NL), which means that blends can also be offered at a competitive price. This will benefit the agricultural entrepreneur and therefore the entire Agri & Food sector. This way, everybody benefits and, as far as we are concerned, that completes the circle.
