Elbert Valkenburg joined Looop on January 1 as Financial Director. He succeeds Cor van Hertrooij, who has made an essential contribution to the financial stability and future-proofing of Looop over the past two years as interim Financial Director.

With over 15 years of financial leadership experience, Elbert brings extensive knowledge and expertise in operations, accounting, auditing, taxation, finance, HR, and IT. He previously held leadership positions at dynamic organizations such as Emma, DocMorris, and Dynafix. He also has experience as an independent interim manager. In these positions, he was involved in optimizing business processes, performing impact analyses, and implementing complex transformations in various areas, including new systems, methods, and departments, as a final manager. Elbert started his new role enthusiastically: "Connecting finance with operations in processes from start to finish while striving for continuous improvements is the basis for success, and that is where my heart also lies."

After two years as interim chief financial officer at Looop, Cor van Hertrooij is handing over his role to Elbert Valkenburg, who will assume the position of chief financial officer as of January 1. Cor reflects on his time at Looop with satisfaction: “The employees at Looop are very involved - or rather ‘inspired’ - and work together to meet every challenge. The company has an open culture that gives you an immediate sense of belonging as a newcomer.” He describes his time at Looop as a challenging and enjoyable experience at a multifaceted company with a broad, forward-looking mission: “Never a dull moment,” he adds.

Over the next month, Cor will remain closely involved to ensure a smooth handover of his work. We want to thank him warmly for his dedication and warm commitment to our organization. We proudly look back on the very successful cooperation he had during his interim period.
