Pressed beet pulp
The co-product pressed beet pulp is generated during the processing of sugar beets into sugar. During processing, the beets are cut into pieces. The sliced beet is immersed in hot water, causing the sugar to dissolve and raw juice to be formed. The raw juice is then separated from the beet slices, leaving behind a palatable co-product: pressed beet pulp.
